THE DVD SHELF RETURNS IN 2019!
So, for all two of you out there who may have been wondering what the hell happened to The DVD Shelf, well, it has been quite a, we’ll say, interesting year-and-a-half-ish or so since we last uploaded any new content to the YouTubes.
It all began on a particularly warm evening in April of 2017 when my computer literally exploded as I was working on our next video. Like, seriously, it was as if someone lit a firecracker inside my decade-old computer tower. I’ll blame it on the gremlins – ‘tis the season after all.
After a few weeks, I was back up and running on the tech front, but not long after, I had developed several medical issues that, thankfully, weren’t quite as dire as I thought they were in the heat of the moment, but that didn’t stop me from slipping into, oh, about a six-month-long depression haze in the meantime. Fun! Once that unpleasantness finally ended around this time last year, I knew it was time to once again get back into the game. For reals this time.
For most of 2018, Andy and I have been taking our sweet-ass time prepping for our biggest and most permanent comeback yet. The DVD Shelf is surely alive and well, and is looking better than ever before! In many ways, we’ll be starting right back where we last left off, just with a few brand new coats of paint. We have been banking a huge stockpile of new videos and other fun content to make sure that these frustrating and frequent long-term hiatuses that have been plaguing our YouTube channel for nearly eight years will no longer be of concern.
And to solidify our big comeback, we will finally be jumping on the Patreon bandwagon and offering up a bevy of extra benefits to our potential backers including monthly updates on what we have coming down the pike, early access to new videos, members-only downloadable content, a new review series that'll be exclusive to the campaign - and more to come! It has been quite a big year as we’ve been experimenting with new ideas and rebuilding our evil empire so that it may one day rule the galaxy! Or, at the very least, a small Midwestern town!
So, for the time being, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Make sure to stay tuned for all the latest updates leading up to the bigger, stronger and faster return of The DVD Shelf in Spring of 2019!
